The Proposal

Every year, Dustin helps coordinate and plan the East Coast EOD Holiday Party, an event that raises funds for the EOD Warrior Foundation.

Last year, immediately after he handed out superlative awards and gave Zach Burnash a bronze EOD statue, Dustin said, “and this is for the person who has kept me sane for the past 365 days of doing this.” After someone yelled out “TEQUILA!” he responded, “It’s not tequila, it’s my girlfriend Kate.“ He then called her up on the dance floor.

“I did not get you a bronze Creative Director statue...
I got you something I want you to wear for the rest of your life.”

Before Dustin finished his sentence, Kate knew he was proposing. She began crying, laughing, and vigorously nodding her head ‘yes’. She was so overwhelmed, that she didn’t even look at the ring until they were dancing! When the song ended, everyone rushed onto the dance floor and proceeded to hug, laugh, cry, and celebrate with the newly engaged couple.

It was absolutely PERFECT!
